The Catwomen on 6th Avenue - Tatyana and Ursula Dueschen

With issues of disease and health aside, I think it's amazing cat ladies actually inhabited in my neighbourhood. This story devastates me, amazes me and makes me very curious. Aside from the novelty joy I get from knowing that Inglewood has an equivalent of Grey Gardens, I feel extremely sorry for the women and am angry at the media for portraying them as villains who cruelly neglected their cats. I am sure they loved those cats, but are clearly mentally unfit and do not know how to take care of them properly. The article and the comments just victimise them or take the mickey. I am concerned for the mother and daughter and wonder where they are going to go now they have been kicked out of their property. I understand that the animals have suffered greatly and this devastates me as an animal lover but I think the two women need to go into good state housing rather than to jail. I just can't understand why nothing has been done to help them and how I never knew about this issue in my neighbourhood as I have learnt it has been going on for some time.

I rode my bike past the site today. It was very surreal and derelict. The caravan is still there and covered by these white birds with long black beaks. There were felines all over the place still, hiding under rubble. Ursula and Tatyana Dueschen never surfaced though.

This is actually my favourite thing of all time.
